These are some of them.

The calm, welcoming clinic in Barcelona

Every person has their own story.

Over more than 35 years in practice, I have had the privilege of meeting people from many different countries, cultures and walks of life. Every person who comes to see me brings their own story, their own challenges and their own hopes.

To respect my patients' privacy, the stories below have been shared anonymously. They are real experiences that reflect the kind of care I offer every day.

The long journey to becoming a mother

For many couples, fertility treatment can be one of the most challenging periods of their lives. For women in particular, it can be physically demanding, emotionally exhausting and financially stressful.

Supporting women through this journey has always been one of the greatest privileges of my work.

Alongside acupuncture, I draw on everything I have learned over the years to support each woman as an individual. My aim is not only to prepare the body, but also to create a space where she can relax, regain confidence and feel supported during what is often an emotional experience.

One of the greatest joys of my career has been receiving messages telling me that a patient is pregnant, and later receiving a photograph of the baby they had hoped for so deeply. Those moments remind me why I chose this profession.

Helping a young pianist continue his passion

Living with pain can affect every part of life, especially when it prevents you from doing something you love.

A young man came to Barcelona to study music. He was an accomplished pianist, but every time he played he developed pain in his fingers that gradually spread to his shoulders.

Rather than focusing only on the pain, we looked at the bigger picture. We worked on improving his posture, discussed changing his pillow to reduce neck tension, introduced simple exercises for his hands and arms, and combined gentle massage with acupuncture.

Little by little, his symptoms improved, allowing him to continue doing what mattered most to him—playing the piano.

For me, treatment is not simply about reducing pain. It's about helping people return to the activities that bring meaning and joy to their lives.

Finding calm again

Stress, anxiety, poor sleep and low energy often go hand in hand. Together they can affect every aspect of daily life.

A young woman who had lived with anxiety since childhood came to see me after beginning to experience panic attacks. She was already receiving psychological therapy, but felt she needed additional support.

For the first month we met every week. After each treatment she felt calmer and more able to cope with the challenges she was facing. Alongside acupuncture, I taught her simple Qi Gong exercises and acupressure points that she could use during the day whenever she felt anxious.

Today she no longer needs weekly treatments. She comes once a month to maintain her wellbeing and continue her studies with greater confidence and peace of mind.

Watching her grow stronger and more independent has been one of the most rewarding parts of our work together.

A holiday saved

One summer, a visitor to Barcelona came to see me shortly after arriving in the city. She had developed an intense allergic skin reaction that covered much of her body with itchy, red bumps.

She was worried that her long-awaited holiday would be ruined.

After listening carefully to her story and assessing her symptoms, I treated her with acupuncture and cupping. The itching began to settle, and by the second treatment the rash had improved significantly.

She was able to enjoy the rest of her holiday without the constant discomfort that had overshadowed her first days in Spain.

Receiving a message from her afterwards to say she had enjoyed the remainder of her trip made me very happy. Sometimes helping someone enjoy a special moment in life is just as rewarding as treating a long-term condition.

It's never too late

One of my patients, an 84-year-old lady, came to see me because she had developed numbness around her mouth and forehead. Naturally, she was worried.

After assessing her condition, I used a combination of gentle facial acupuncture and reflexology on her feet. During the treatment she relaxed so deeply that she fell asleep.

When she woke up, the numbness had disappeared.

Initially we saw each other every couple of weeks. Today she only comes occasionally for maintenance, and I always enjoy seeing her.

Her story reminds me that age is never the most important factor. Every person deserves the opportunity to feel as well as they can.

Every story is unique

No two people are exactly alike, and neither are their treatments.

Whether someone comes to see me with pain, stress, digestive problems, women's health concerns or simply because they no longer feel like themselves, my aim is always the same: to listen carefully, understand the whole person and offer thoughtful, personalised care.
